Bit-tech Mod Of The Year 2013 - The Winners
After several weeks of voting, deliberation and fevered debate, its finally time to announce the winner of the
Bit-Tech Mod Of The Year 2013.
Last year was yet another incredible one for PC modding, with our forums playing host to hundreds of beautiful, bizarre and blinged-up case mods and scratch built cases. Everything from tiny Raspberry Pi SoCs to gargantuan E-ATX systems with multiple graphics cards were catered for with themes ranging from an homage to the Wright brothers memorial to Doctor Who's Tardis.
And before we say anything more we must extend our thanks to everyone that chooses to use our forum to host the project logs for their wonderful creations. Here in our community the phrase "it's the taking part that counts" really is the motto we live by.

Nonetheless, it's only fair we award true excellence and that's where our end of year award comes in, with prizes available for not just the best mods but those of you that helped out in our selection process by voting.
Narrowing down such a vast and varied selection of projects was always going to be tough but with the help of our forum members the list was shortened to 20 (which are listed at the end) and these have been up for public vote for the last few weeks, with votes hosted on our
forum and
Facebook page. Finally it was down to our panel of judges to pick the top five, and boy were the results close...
So, without further ado, the Bit-Tech Mod of the Year 2013 goes to:
1st place Cosmos II- Skyline GT-R by Ronnie Hara
(11 judge votes, 9% of reader votes)
2nd place Guilty by kier
(10 judge votes, 9% of reader votes)
3rd place The Dark Shining Star by Sassanou
(9 judge votes, 7% of reader votes)
4th place Cosmos II The Privilege by Corsaronero333
(9 judge votes, 6% of reader votes)
5th place Project N.V. by p0Pe

Congratulations to Ronnie for picking up the crown and to all the rest of our finalists - a virtual round of applause is deserved by all.
This is actually the first time in several years that the overall winner of Mod of the Year is a mod and not a scratch-built system, so for all us golden oldies it's nice to see the art-form return to its roots. If you're interested you can find our previous Mod of the Year winners here:
2012,
2011,
2010,
2009,
2008,

Of course we had three fantastic BitFenix vouchers to give away to some of our lucky voters, and the winners of these are
Kim Nørgaard,
Carol Magnani and
Ellyson Quiambao.
We'll be in touch with all the winners soon to organise your prizes.
We'd like to thank our sponsors for stumping up such great prizes this year too -
Corsair, Asus, BitFenix, Parvum Systems, Crucial, Mnpctech, Noctua and Phobya, we salute you. You can check the prizes out
over the page.
